There is nothing that marks the passing of time quite like the holidays. One minute it's summer, the next we're cooking turkey and preparing for the Christmas season. The commercialism for the "season" seems to start just as soon as the Halloween candy is collected and consumed. Although the official beginning of the "season" is really Thanksgiving. (As a child growing up, we didn't decorate until at least the second week of December) Now, it's the Thanksgiving weekend and there are Christmas lights and decorations everywhere, holiday music is playing, and the anxiety over shopping overwhelms us all.
It's also a time to reflect about our lives, to think about the past year. It's a time to remember family and friends, and what we've accomplished throughout the year.
It can be a glorious time of year, but a difficult time for many people as well.
During this wonderous, hectic season take a moment to be thankful for all you have, and remember to relax and enjoy!
